Mandeep Singh is a Dhad player, singer and Sikh preacher with the Jatha. The Dhad — the small hourglass drum that gives the Dhadi tradition its name — sets the rhythm and urgency of the Vaaran.
He has received Santhia of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji along with formal musical education and training, and has been serving the Sikh community since 2004.
Outside Canada, the Jatha's religious services are performed collectively by Sukhpreet Singh Ghary, Dilpreet Singh Ghary and Mandeep Singh, travelling to Sangats around the world.
